Who are we?
The Bosnian Advocacy Center is an independent non-governmental organization that advocates for a free, sovereign, democratic, and secular Bosnia and Herzegovina. We conduct research and media monitoring, publish reports and analyses, make media appearances, and, most importantly, work on strengthening current and establishing new friendships and alliances with some of the most important figures for Bosnia and Herzegovina internationally. Who are we looking for?
Our internship program is intended for those with backgrounds in the fields such as political science, international relations, diplomacy, international law, economy, media, and journalism. We are also happy to provide an opportunity to those whose background is not directly related to the abovementioned fields but is necessary for the day-to-day running of our organization, such as graphic designers, software developers, and communications and marketing enthusiasts.
We invite undergraduate students, Master’s students, and graduates of all ages to apply for one of our internship positions and to join our passionate team. Our selection process will be merit-based.
What do we offer?
We offer the space for you to work in several areas, which will allow you to acquire practical knowledge and skills relevant to every aspect of our work and your professional development. Working hours are flexible and can be adjusted to meet your preferred schedule. This is a location-independent, remote work opportunity. Applicants from all countries are invited to apply.
We are currently working on several projects in the following departments:
- Research (multiple topics),
- Media monitoring (covering Bosnian genocide denial and other related topics),
- Internal strategy and development (developing content and web platforms, identifying potential partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries),
- Marketing and Communications (promotion of our content, events, and establishing sponsorships).
Our internship program is unpaid, but the Bosnian Advocacy Center will provide lectures, workshops, prizes, and other incentives.
We do not want you to work for us, we want you to work with us. You will have an opportunity to impact the work of the organization, bring new ideas, suggest improvements, and engage in areas you find the most interesting and beneficial for both the organization and yourself.
How to apply?
To apply, please fill out the application form available here.
The deadline for applications is Saturday, July 31 at 23:00 CET.
The interview process will start on August 10 and, if selected, your internship program will begin on September 1, 2021. Again, working hours are flexible and can be adjusted to meet your preferred schedule.
