SMUN aims to simulate the work of UN bodies and to, by doing that, educate and prepare young students from all over the world regardless of their current studies for service in diplomacy and to promote and share values of informal education and the importance of understanding decision making process used by UN.

SMUN is an MUN (Model United Nations) conference organized by NGO “Center for Studies of National Development” (www.anr.edu.rs) from Belgrade, Serbia and Student’s club of Faculty of Political Science Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

SMUN aims to simulate the work of UN bodies and to, by doing that, educate and prepare young students from all over the world regardless of their current studies for service in diplomacy and to promote and share values of informal education and the importance of understanding decision making process used by UN.

The main goal of the conference is the encouragement of networking within the future decision makers. Conference will take place in Banja Luka, and it will last from 16th till 19th of the October this year.

SMUN will simulate the work of International Court of Justice, UN Security Council and Human Rights Council.

  • Basic participation fee: 15 euros/20 KM/ 1500 RSD

Accommodation

Special discounts for SMUN participants are provided in numerous hotels in Banja Luka. For delegates who are arriving via Sarajevo (Bosnia) or Belgrade (Serbia) special offers with partner hotels will be made for them in case they have to spend a night there.
